OUTSIDE IN - THE BIRDS, 2005
Installation specially commissioned by the Lowry Centre in Salford. A site-specific event featuring 8 mechanical birds integrated into the foyer. Working with Andy Plant on bird construction and Matt Wand on sound design. Funded by Arts Council North West.

 
PIG, 2003
Funded by the Arts Council of England. A show for 10 people at a time performed inside a big pig. Working with Steve Gumbley. Soundtrack by Clive Bell. Pig’s body by Andy Plant and Penny Saunders. Toured the UK, Taiwan, Belgium, Holland, Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Australia and Eire.

 
BEDCASES, 2002
A commission from Coventry Belgrade Events, Stockton International Riverside Festival and the National Theatre with funding from NWAB. An intimate show for 5 people at a time. Set by Andy Plant. Soundtrack by Clive Bell. Toured UK, Eire, Spain and Holland.

 
  HEAD QUARTERS, 2000 - 2004
  A commission from Streets Ahead, Coventry Arts Alive and the National Theatre with funding from NWAB. A theatrical development of Headcases for 10 people at a time. Set by Andy Plant. Toured the UK, Eire, Holland, France, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic and Singapore.

  HOODWINK, 2000
  A commission from Nottingham Castle Museum. A booth containing a transforming drawing based on a picture in the Museum’s collection.
   
  DAY OF THE DUMMY, 1999
  Large-scale one-off version of the Secret Life of the Dummy commissioned by Marks & Spencer to open a new store in Covent Garden. Working with Jane Revitt.
   
  HEADCASES, 1999 - 2002
  An installation/performance commissioned by Canary Wharf Arts + Events that involves 7 boxes that you put your head inside. Toured to London, Manchester, Glasgow, Warwick, Bradford, Cardiff, Henley, Basingstoke, Bexhill, Salford, Bromley and Tunbridge Wells.

   
  SECRET LIFE OF THE DUMMY, 1997 - 2001
  Funded by NWAB. Touring performance for shop windows featuring 3 scenes in the life-cycle of mannequins. Toured throughout the UK plus festivals in Eire, France, Australia and Luxembourg. Created with Greville White.

   
  ILLUMINATA, 1998
  A collaboration with Pa-Boom to create a 15 minute pyrotechnical sculpture and firework display accompanied by a 5 piece angel band. Music by Bob Dinn. Performed in Crewe and Salisbury.
   
  PARADE OF THE SENSES, 1997
  Commissioned by Manchester International Arts for the B.B.C Music Live day with funding from MANCAT and NWAB. The 5 senses converted into sculptural, musical, performance and parade form with approximately 300 participants. A Collaboration with Tony Watt, musical director of Manchester School of Samba and Danny Henry, dancer and choreographer with Manchester School of Samba and Jonathon Woolfenden, sculptor.

   
  FINALE FOR THE STREETS AHEAD FESTIVAL, 1998
  Collaboration with Amsterdam-based company Warner & Consorten creating theatrical events and a finale for the Streets Ahead festival. Funded by NWAB.
   
 

THESE FOOLISH THINGS, 1998

  Commissioned by Salford Art Gallery. An exhibition combining specially created and found objects, mechanical tableaux and performance. A Collaboration with Steve Gumbley and Greville White.
   
  EAR DRUMMERS, May 1996
  Commissioned by the Stockport Arts Team for the Streets Ahead Festival. A marching drum orchestra combined with a simple visual image. Musical direction by Tony Watt, musical director of Manchester School of Samba and choreography by Danny Henry also of Manchester School of Samba. A 5 piece touring version was created in 1998.
   
  MUSIC BOX, May 1996
  Mobile street theatre show featuring a living music box
with music by Steve Mead (of the Glee Club).
   
  PEOPLE IN GLASS HOUSES, March 1996
  performances in the vivarium of the Manchester Museum as part of the Divers Memories exhibition.
   
  CLOCK OF CONFLICT, 1995
  Commissioned by Manchester Airport, Barclays New Stages and NWAB. Large-scale touring
version of Hour Hosts with a civic clock built onto a freight box. Toured to Manchester, London,
Denmark & Leeds. Working with Steve Gumbley, Laurence Lane and Greville White.
   
  HOST OF ANGELS, Dec 1994
  Commissioned by Manchester City of Drama. A 30 strong team of angels created with B-TEC performing arts students invaded the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester. This was a collaboration with Warner van Wely, artistic director of Dutch theatre company Warner and Consorten.

   
  CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER, 1992
  1992 Curiouser & Curiouser – commissioned by Oldham Local Interest Museum. An exhibition exploring truth and lies and how museums present information.
   
  THE KINETISCOPE, 1991
  Funded by NWA. A peep-box on wheels with mechanically animated drawings. Working with Jonathon Woolfenden.
   
  HOUR HOSTS, July 1990
  Commissioned by Liverpool Comedy Festival. A clock perched on the balcony of Liverpool town hall presenting short performances on the hour. Working with Lee Sass.
   
  NORTH WEST FRONTIERS, HEADLESS PEOPLE,
FAMILY SARDONICUS, THE ANGELS, 1990 - 2000
  4 touring mobile street theatre shows incorporating unorthodox puppetry, mechanical devices
with strong cartoon-like imagery. North West Frontiers created with Dave Wheeler of IOU Theatre.

Headless People and Family Sardonicus created with Greville White. The Angels created with Laurence Lane. These 4 shows have toured to festivals throughout the U.K, Eire, Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Luxembourg, Denmark, Singapore, Oman, Russia, U.S.A, Canada and Brazil. Funded by NWA. One-off, site-specific special versions of Headless People performed in a cage at Jersey Zoo (1997) and on the beech at the Oerol Festival in Holland (1999).

   
  30 DIFFERENT SHOWS OF ALL SHAPES AND SIZES, 1982 - 1990
  Touring street theatre, site-specific one-off shows, indoor shows, installations, exhibitions, lecture-performances and super 8 films, performed in every outdoor situation possible plus art centres, tennis pavilions, garden centres, galleries, pubs and bars.
