If you’d like to discuss how we might work together to create FUTURE at your event, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

•  Future is a site-specific show that doesn’t tour like our other productions.

•  It requires a close partnership with a promoter who is able to provide an available shop unit (or similar) venue.

•  The venue requires good ground-floor window area + first-floor access and windows from which the giant plant emerges.

•  It also requires domestic (13amp) power and water supplies.

•  It requires a 3-4 day get-in, and a 1-2 day get-out.

General description:

•  A static installation/peep-show performance, contained within a disused shop unit.

•  A giant plant structure extends from the first-floor windows above the front of the shop unit; at certain times, the plant flowers.

•  The ground-floor space is adapted to seem as if, behind the windows, the shop is filled with soil.

•  The audience outside can see into spaces in this subterranean environment.

•  Workers inside perform a cycle of non-narrative activity and absurd behaviour over a 2-hour period.

•  The workers are harvesting food, which is then available for the audience outside.

•  The show is suitable for all ages.

•  A minimum of 1-hour between performance periods required.

•  Tours with a team of 5 performers.

A short video of Future, which premiered for 3 days at Kendal Mintfest 2013, can found on our YouTube channel.

More images, including concept art, can be found in the Future Flickr collection.
